I was born in 2000 in Russia and started making music when I was twelve. I got into hip-hop, rap, and electronic music, and started experimenting with all of them while making my own tracks. In January 2015, I started going by NGUTP.

I never had any formal musical training. I still don’t. The early years were difficult, but I kept making music and trying to find my own sound. Things changed when TikTok took off in 2018–2019. My tracks started spreading there, going viral and racking up a lot of plays. I make everything in FL Studio, and I don’t stick to one genre. What ties my music together is the sound, not the genre. I’d describe it as glitchy: weird effects, glitches, distortion. That’s what gives the music its character.

Those glitches are what I’m best known for, but plenty of my songs don’t use them at all. What matters most to me is sincerity and self-expression: I write music I like instead of following whatever is trending, and what I’m really trying to do is get a feeling across.
